Such a shame that today the weather defeated us, Pilot Brian Smith reported. He had hoped that we might see a change by early afternoon, the rain did indeed stop albeit temporarily, but the cloud stayed lower than was acceptable for a transit and the wind continued to blow straight across the Duxford runway gusting to 25kts.
Very unfortunate that he had not gone over the day before as he had suggested but hey ho, the guys at Old Buck were extremely understanding and we really hope to be invited back next year with MH434.
The event sounds like it was still a huge success, as there is so much to see, do and participate in on the ground too.
Bring back the sunshine!
